the Most Marvellous Hedgerow Woodland Wishes and Dreams Postal Service (or Wp for short)

Introducing The Most Marvellous Hedgerow and Woodland Wishes and Dreams Postal Service! They are now available to order on the New Collection Page

The creatures of the woods have set up a postal service. They get a bit grand with names, so we shall shorten it to Woodland Wish Post just for now.

I want to introduce you to the beginnings of a new series of animals and explain the thinking behind them and what they are for.

It started with the idea of Mouse Mail but that rapidly expanded into oh but we need badgers for parcels, and rabbits for speedy special delivery and and… of course weasels are not to be trusted with post! Kathy and I discussed a million names and initials and so many just can’t be used for various reasons, so we have settled on Woodland Post/Wish Post because the first ones to be released have a choice of bags and contents.

The Woodland Wish Postal service can deliver you all sorts of delights.

You can choose from a mouse or a badger. The creatures and letters are made by me and the hats and bags are stitched by the magic fingers of Kathy Anderson. The mouse has a beautiful little post satchel, embroidered on the front and back, with a pocket on the back and adjustable buckles and leather strap. Big enough for a letter or some notes.

The Badger has a bigger rucksack type bag with buckles and straps and embroidery that goes all the way round the bag. that can hold more letters, or little gifts. The idea is that your mouse or badger can deliver mail to others in the house.

Imagine coming down for breakfast and there on the table is the Mouse.

Oh look there is Woodland post!

You can open the bag and find a little note inside. It could be a I love you type note or a I’m sorry note or a tidy your room type note. It could be funny or whatever you would like it to be.

Or you come home from work and there is the Badger with a note saying welcome home, wine in the fridge and a little choklit wrapped up in his bag. You get the idea.

It could be a birthday mouse that comes out with notes celebrating the year gone and wishes for the year ahead.

It could be a Valentines Badger with a ring or gift in their bag!

Or a proposal mouse. Imagine a ring and a letter saying marry me, I mean I’d say yes eh?

Or an acorn or other nature treasure inside from the woods.

Or you could write a wish and pop it in the bag and hope it comes true, or send a wish to a friend.

Or if you live alone, you could write treats to yourself to take out on a day you need it.

I am sure you will think of some other uses too.

The badgers have bigger rucksacks to fit bigger things in, and if you are alone, one idea I had was that I could put in some little notes for you to open as and when needed. There could be little affirmation type notes, or perhaps a bag of swears for when only a swear will do!

The Bags have two designs to choose from:

WP and a tree for Woodland Post

WP and star button for Wish Post

Each bag will come with a little envelope with a note card inside for you to write on and a couple of tiny handmade envelopes or parcels depending on mouse or badger.

There are four ready made now to buy and the rest will be made to order. They take a little time to make because the sewing takes a long time, as does making the tiny envelopes etc.

For the Made to order, you can choose a monthly payment plan if you would like and you can choose extras

£10 extra for affirmations or swears or three small nature parcels such as shells, acorns, fir cones

£10 extra for two bespoke initials

There may be other animals delivering the mail in the months to come, but for now there are mice and badgers. Kath and I hope you like them.

The Woodland Wish Postal Service will be released

Saturday 21st January 7.30pm

There will be four posties for sale

Woodland post mouse £155

Woodland post badger £245

Wish Post Mouse £155

Wish Post Badger £245

There will be Made to Order slots available to choose your creature, bag and contents and they will also be available on monthly payment plans too.

You can preview them on the New Collection Page with prices, sizes etc and they will go live for sale at 7.30pm Saturday.

If they prove popular, so we are not overwhelmed we might limit the number of made to order slots available on Saturday so you are not waiting too long for your post and then open them up again once caught up a bit. They’ll be available all year.

The Imbolc collection will be on the 17th February at 7.30pm and hopefully there will be a few more posties then as well as some cosy reading in bed, clock case, lightbringers and snowdrop themed creatures.

Look out on Social Media tonight for a film to introduce the Woodland Wish Post to you.
