Making Paper Boats

Join in with the Book Launch Fun!

For the book launch on the 19th March, we are having a raffle with fabulous prizes. In the spirit of the books encouraging people to make things, instead of buying tickets, you have to make your ticket!

Here is a sneak preview of the instructions from the back of Paper Boat for Panda. Published by Graffeg, written by me with some help from the Tribe of creatures.

So, to enter the raffle you need to put your name and contact details on a piece of paper and then fold it up into a paper boat. If you are coming to the book launch at Blue Ginger Gallery, then bring it with you, or you can make one on the day there- we'll have paper. If you can't come because you are far away, then please make one and post it to the Gallery. Only one boat entry per person please. We can't return boats and they will be separated from the envelopes so please make sure your contact details are on the boat itself if you want to go into the hat for the raffle.

Send your boat to:

Blue-Ginger Gallery

Home End Farm Stiffords Bridge Cradley,

Malvern WR13 5NW

It will need to arrive in time for the 19th March. I'm making a creature for the raffle and there will be some other special prizes too.

There will also be prizes for things like the most beautiful boat and one for children and possibly some others too just for fun. I'll take photos of them at the launch and it is a little way our wonderful international tribe can be part of the celebrations. Even if you don't want to win a prize, I'd love for you to join in the celebrations of the books with sending in a boat. Decorate it, customise it... write a message on it. Think of it like a launch party celebration card but most of all have some fun. Get together with some friends or your children and make some boats and then send one to us.

I'm hoping to make them all into bunting and hang them in the shed and use them at events and I'll share photos of them so do join in the fun!

Baby Weasus and Small are here to show you how to make a paper boat! So... get making and have fun!

Paper Boat for Panda, Small finds a home, and Honey for Tea will be in the shops from about 1st April.

Each book has a story, an act of kindness and something is made. At the end the creatures show you how to make them yourself.

Signed books can be posted out from me Celestine and the Hare or Graffeg or book-ish or you can get the books from your own local independent book shop. I'd love it if you support your local bookshop as opposed to a large company that need to pay some tax.

I'll also be having another book launch day at `book-ish book shop in Crickhowell on the 25th March 11-3pm. We will be having more fun there and I am told there will be honey for tea!
