The Solstice Hare
The Winter Solstice Hare brings the sun and moon in their basket and bears snowflakes of winter.
The needle felted white hare stands approx 28cm tall on a wooden plinth. They carry a handmade pine needle basket from needles collected in the woods near the Shed in Wales. The basket holds some flower petals and a bronze cast sun and hammered fold formed sterling silver moon which has a jump ring attached so could be worn as a pendant. The hare has the blue of the northern lights on the tips of their ears and tail and has copper antlers and bronze snowflakes around their neck and on their head. A piece of love. Bringing the sun and the moon to you, one foot in Winter, night and snow, one foot in Spring and light and warmth.
