The Gift gatherers
I am SO very excited to announce the new book!
Published 24th March
The Gift Gatherers - Spring is the fourth of four books for all ages in the Tales of the Turning Year series and follows on from best selling The Lightbringers, The Wish Gatherers and Joy Bringers. A stand alone story if you haven’t read the others, but if you have, you will smile in recognition of echoes and familiar faces weaving through the story.
These picture books are mainly aimed at adults but children love them too. Truly a book for all ages.
‘On the first day of spring, when day and night were equal and the celandines shone as bright as the summer sun, a new one was born. As is tradition, a message of the birth was to be sent to the Circle of Elders.
Old Shrew knew this was to be his last time as Messenger and, as he was walking to greet the Elders, he remembered all the past springs he had experienced and all the births he had announced.’
The Gift Gatherers. A celebration of old and new and of the cycle that binds them.
One of a series of four seasonal stories based around British folklore.
Includes note on springtime traditions by Pamela Thom-Rowe.
Published on 24th March 2026 by Graffeg.
Hardback 48 pages 20cm square
Books are signed by the author and come with a postcard or bookmark. They can be dedicated to a name if you wish, just add on the form.
I am ridiculously excited to announce I’ll be heading to London for two events at London Children’s literature festival in June! Come and meet the creatures, hear the Gift Gatherers and make your own little book of small joys.
I’ve not been to the big city in over 10 years so do come along and say hi and share with anyone you know with kids over that way.
Also check out who else is there (swoon)
Thanks to everyone who came to the launch, it was so lovely to see so many of you there. Thanks to Elise for this wonderful picture!
