Needle felted Welsh Sheep and Lamb

£180.00

Needle felted sheep and lamb made from Cambrian wool and dyed with oak galls from the Cambrian mountains.

I made these two for an exhibition showcasing Welsh wool nearly 10 years ago. They met King Charles at a private view and went to the Hay Festival and London and toured various venues. They have been sitting in the shed since then, chatting to Emily and listening to the sheep dog drone on at them about the time the King called him a fine fellow when he picked them up. The sheep aren’t so impressed by titles, preferring a nice view of some grass, but they have stories to tell. Time for them to find a home.

A little piece of Wales. Sheep is approx 17cm long and 9cm high. Lamb about 7cm long
